MARYLAND SALTWATER SPORTFISHERMEN’S ASSOCIATION.Over and over you can hear sportfishermen complaining about the fishery. They use phases such as: ain’t it a shame, why do they allow this, wish someone would do something about this problem and many other phrases. Well sportfishermen if you have a problem with the fishery such as over fishing, dredging, dumping and many other problems that we all know about, then do something about it!!! ***JOIN THE M.S.S.A.*** I look at the M.S.S.A. as a UNION as the one at work. You can talk to the Management until you’re blue in the face; if you have an organization to back you up you can make them listen and make a difference. It takes an army to take a hill or win a battle; there’s no difference with politics. M.S.S.A. membership is only $15.00 a year. Support the M.S.S.A. and let them provide a unified voice to preserve and protect the rights, traditions and the future of the recreational fishing. As a member you will receive their newsletter "TIDELINES". The active M.S.S.A chapter near this area is the Broadneck/Magothy River -Chapter #10. It holds its meetings at the American Legion Post #175, Manhattan Beach Road, Off Jones Station Road at Ritchie Highway every 3rd Monday of each month. Meeting time is 7:30p.m. For more information about the M.S.S.A or to become a member contact the M.S.S.A.
